T he Renner Funeral Chapel moved to the one-story Georgian structure at Colorado Ave. and Philo Road in Urbana in March 1964.

It has been featured in several mortuary trade journals, primarily because it is one of the few funeral homes designed specifically for that use. Most funeral homes are located in remodeled houses.

With the death of P. T. Wikoff in 1965, his four sons, Donald, Charles, William and Richard assumed management of the funeral home.

In 1982 Forest Wikoff Jr., their cousin who owned several funeral homes in the Decatur area, purchased Renner-Wikoff Chapel. Forest Jr. continued to own the funeral home until 1992 when two long time employees purchased it, John Hingtgen and Virgil Naugle. In 2012, the funeral home was purchased by the current managers, Stephen Ater and Matthew Schable.
